  • All calls made by umpire will be considered final, the umpire has the right to decide on any rule whether it is covered in these rules or not. All calls are at the umpire's discretion.
  • No alcohol is allowed on the ball diamond or surrounding area, if any player is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol they can be removed from the remainder of the tournament without compensation.

  • Teams must have a minimum of 8 players to start and finish a game.
  • The batting order shall alternate male, female, or female, male etc. If a team has more females in the line up than males, they have the option of still using the "alternating male/female" batting order, OR they may bat two females back to back. NOTE: At no time can two males bat back to back.
  • Everyone on a team's game roster sheet must bat and play in a defensive position a minimum of once in the game. (3 outs per side).
  • If a male batter is walked on four straight balls, WITH NO STRIKES, he shall advance to 2nd base automatically. The following female batter shall have the option of batting or accepting a walk.
  • An additional portion will be added to home plate. If a ball hits any part of this addition it will be considered a strike. If the ball hits the regular home plate (white portion), it will be called a strike.
  • A force play at home plate shall follow these guidelines:
    • The catcher must be on the white part of the plate only.
    • The baserunner cannot touch either the white or the black portion of the plate. If they do, they are OUT.
    • The baserunner should make every effort to stay far enough from home plate and the catcher to avoid collisions.
  • Base stealing is NOT allowed. Runners are not allowed to leave the bag they are occupying until the batter makes contact with a pitched ball. NO anticipation step is allowed, if the base runner leaves the base and no contact has been made the baserunner is out.

  • All foul balls or foul tips count as a strike.
  • Players may overrun any base, however any turn towards the next base will be considered an attempt to advance and the runner can be tagged out.
  • A substitute runner may only replace the batter after the batter has made the initial run to first base or beyond. Once the play has been stopped, the substitute replaces the batter before the next pitch is delivered. Substitute runners must be the batter of the same sex who was last up.
  • No bunting is allowed, this will result in an automatic out.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct including foul language or any other kind of abuse directed at the umpire or the opposing team will result in immediate ejection from the game and could result in expulsion from the tournament.
